OLD GENERATION OF OXO-BIODEGRADABLE ADDITIVES :

Old Generation of additives used 1-5% in traditional polymers like PE/PP/PS/PET/PVC to promote Biodegradation in Aerobic Environments (Such as composting & Litter) as well as Anaerobic Environments (Typically Found in Landfills). Testing has shown that in arid climate with sunlight & High Heat Oxo-Biodegradable additives will accelerate the Fragmentation of Traditional Polymers in to small Pieces & then further goes down as Micro Plastics. Recently EU (European Commission) has warned against such so called Oxo-Biodegradable additives which do not Biodegrade but merely Fragment into small Pieces that remains in and Potentially Harm the Environment and endanger Recycling & Composting.


NEW GENERATION OF BIO-DEGRADABLE ADDITIVES :

This additives when added to normal resins can Encourage the Biodegradation of the Plastic Material by a Reaction with Enzymes created by microorganism. The New Technology allows microorganism to produce Co2 & CH4 i.e. Carbon Dioxide & Methane. Both of these are the result of the consumption of the Plastic. When microorganism consume anything aerobically or anaerobically these two gases are Produced. Anaerobic biodegradation produces CH4 & Aerobic biodegradation produces Co2. The new technology of additives allows the Microbes to consume the Plastic Product in all active Microbial Environments.
